The pattern is well written and easy to follow, although there is quite a lot of 'prep' with regards to pockets, straps, handles so you will need to allow a bit of time - I managed it in a few hours over a few nights. The bag requires a foam such as Annie's Soft & Stable, but I used car scrim that I had left over from my
Aeroplane bag and it helps to give the bag good body and make it feel really sturdy.
The exterior requires 1/2 a yard of fabric, so it's a great way of show-casing any special pieces of fabric that you have lying around. I had some Liberty Lifestyle Bloomsbury sitting in my stash which I'd bought when it was first launched, and because I didn't want to break it up too much I also used it for the front pocket and the strap extenders.
